Bloor Street in Toronto will transform into a truly unique stage this weekend — where art, imagination, and wonder merge within the urban landscape.
The annual BIG on Bloor Festival, themed this year around “BIZARRE”, aims to showcase a fresh and creative side of the Bloordale neighbourhood — a cultural and artistic experience unlike your typical street festival.
Taking place from Friday, July 19 to Saturday, July 20, Bloor Street West, from Dufferin to Lansdowne, will be closed to vehicle traffic each day from 12 PM to midnight.
Unlike traditional commercial street fairs, BIG on Bloor 2025 takes a non-commercial and community-focused approach. Instead of vendor booths, you’ll find tranquil spaces, conceptual art, interactive workshops, and public installations co-created with the community.
With music, street art, interactive performances, and unconventional displays, the festival invites visitors to reflect on the beauty and diversity of society.
Admission is free and open to everyone.
خیابان Bloor در تورنتو این آخر هفته به صحنهای متفاوت از همیشه تبدیل خواهد شد؛ جایی که هنر، خیال و عجایب در فضای شهری با هم ترکیب میشوند.
فستیوال سالانه BIG on Bloor با محوریت موضوع «عجیب/ BIZARRE» قرار است چهرهای تازه و خلاقانه از محله Bloordale ارائه دهد؛ تجربهای فرهنگی و هنری که با فستیوالهای معمول تفاوت چشمگیری دارد.
این فستیوال از جمعه ۱۹ جولای تا شنبه ۲۰ جولای برگزار میشود و طی آن خیابان Bloor West از Dufferin تا Lansdowne هر روز از ساعت ۱۲ ظهر تا نیمهشب به روی تردد خودروها بسته خواهد بود.
فستیوال BIG on Bloor 2025 برخلاف فستیوالهای رایج خیابانی، رویکردی غیرتجاری و اجتماعی دارد. غرفههای مرسوم فروشگاهی جای خود را به فضاهای آرام، آثار مفهومی، کارگاههای تعاملی و چیدمانهای هنری دادهاند که با مشارکت مردم شکل میگیرند.
در این فستیوال، موسیقی، هنر خیابانی، نمایشهای تعاملی و ویترینهایی با چیدمانهای عجیب، بازدیدکنندگان را به تفکر درباره زیباییها و تفاوتهای جامعه دعوت میکند.
