The Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) returns to Toronto this year for its 76th edition, making it one of the most exciting events of the Labour Day weekend.

Taking place from August 30 to September 1, 2025, over the skies of Lake Ontario, the show promises three days of breathtaking flights and stunning aerobatic performances.

Since its start in 1949, this event has become a long-standing Toronto tradition. It is the longest-running air show in North America and every year draws thousands of spectators to parks, rooftops, and beaches across the city as the grand finale of the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition).

The show runs daily from 12:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m., with prime viewing spots at Exhibition Place, Ontario Place, Coronation Park, and Sunnyside Beach.

This year’s lineup will feature a mix of seasoned teams and fresh performances in Toronto’s skies. Highlights include The Northern Stars Aeroteam, the famous Snowbirds from the Royal Canadian Air Force, and thrilling jet demonstrations from the CF-18 and F-35.

Many visitors pair the air show with a trip to the CNE, held at the same time. Locals often say that enjoying the colorful festival foods while hearing the roar of fighter jets overhead is a unique way to celebrate the end of Toronto’s summer.
